Have you always wanted to learn to play the piano, guitar or violin? Improve your playing skills? Learn to improvise? Learn more about music theory (chords, scales, key signatures)? Learn how to lead the worship assembly from the keyboard? Consider music lessons. Beginner, intermediate and advanced students and adults are welcomed. There is no fee for lessons. Students will be responsible for purchasing instruction materials. However, no interested student will be excluded from lessons based on inability to pay for books. The only requirements are the desire to learn and commitment to daily practice!! Music students attend the following schools: Trinity, Ritenour District schools, Freedom School, Holy Spirit, home school. A number of families have immigrated from Central and South America. Some of the children have been adopted from Western Asia and South America. PAC music educators include piano teachers Sister Brenda, guitar teacher, Donald Wright (OLP Music Ministry). PAC after school arts program currently has a waiting list for art, piano, guitar, and violin. Please contact Sister Brenda if you or someone you know would like to serve as a volunteer after school or summer music or art teacher. Participation in the Archdiocese's Protecting All God's Children program is required for all volunteers working with children and youth.
PAC Giving Opportunities
PAC Music Program provides loaner keyboards for piano students who do not have access to an instrument for home practice. If you or someone you know has an unused keyboard gathering dust, please consider donating the instrument to PAC. Keyboard should have 76 or 88, preferably weighted, keys. Keyboard pedals, and keyboard stands welcome as well! Please also consider gifting a PAC piano student with a new keyboard. Many middle and high school piano students are advancing quickly in their piano studies and would greatly benefit from an 88 key digital piano (aka keyboard) and pedal for home practice. Please contact Sister Brenda for more information.
