Liturgy and Worship
Lectors-The lector is called to proclaim the readings of Holy Scripture at Sunday
and weekday liturgies and other special occasions.
Eucharistic Ministers-Parishioners who have been commissioned to assist in the distribution of
the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass.
Servers-Altar Servers participate in and enhance the community’s celebration
by assisting the priest during worship and funerals. Boys and Girls start
serving in the 4th grade. Adults also assist in weekly and daily Mass and
funerals.
Gift Bearers-The Gift Bearers represent the congregation in bringing the gifts of bread
and wine to the altar at the Offertory of the Mass.
Ushers-Ushers welcome the community to worship, helping the community to
enter into the liturgy. They assist with seating, the collection of gifts,
answering questions and distributing bulletins.
If you would like to volunteer for any of the above liturgical roles contact
Fr. Dolan or Joan in the parish office. Schedules are in the vestibule
quarterly.
Music-There are many ways to praise God with joyful song within our parish:
•Choir-10:00am Sunday Mass, Christmas, Holy Week and other festive
occasions. There is also a funeral choir.
•Cantor-They lead the assembly in song and prayer for weekends and
special liturgies.
• If you are interested in joining the choir, adults and students 7th grade
and older are welcomed. Contact Sister Brenda.
All Souls Day-November 2nd we remember those who died in the past year.
Eucharistic Adoration-Spend some quiet time with the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration in the
Ponder room every 3rd Wednesday all day starting at 8:45am, Mother of
Perpetual Help Devotions will begin at 6:15 ending with Benediction.
Perpetual Help Devotions-Every Tuesday immediately following the 8am Mass.
